  2. SPACE QUEST 1 - THE SOLUTION
  3.  
  4. Do not enter fast mode until you land on Kerona.
  5.  
  6. 1) Get keycard from body 3 screens to left of start.
  7.  
  8. 2) Examine body in data archives (wait for it to show up).
  9.  
  10. 3) Examine screen, enter "astral body".
  11.  
  12. 4) Take cartridge.
  13.  
  14. 5) Exit left, go down elevator, turn toward the right.
  15.  
  16. 6) Take next elevator down.  At console, push open bay door in
  17. reactor room.
  18.  
  19. 7) Go right, put card in slot, go down elevator.
  20.  
  21. 8) Push right button, take suit.
  22.  
  23. 9) Push left button, take gadget.
  24.  
  25. 10) At console push air lock button.
  26.  
  27. 11) Walk through airlock, push platform button.
  28.  
  29. 12) Get in pod on left side.
  30.  
  31. 13) Close door
  32.     Fasten belt
  33.     Push power button
  34.     Push autonav button
  35.     Pull throttle (this is easier in slow\normal mode).
  36.  
  37. 14) After you land, take off belt, take survival kit, exit.
  38.  
  39. 15) Take glass from in front of pod.
  40.  
  41. 16) Go right (from bottom of screen) 3 screens, walk up incline.
  42.  
  43. 17) Push rock on arch bridge on top of spider.
  44.  
  45. 18) Go back down incline, enter cave that's one screen north from
  46. bottom of incline.
  47.  
  48. 19) Hide behind rocks, open survival kit, throw cylinder, take
  49. Orat part.
  50.  
  51. 20) Go back up incline all the way to end.
  52.  
  53. 21) Fall down hole between arches.
  54.  
  55. 22) Take the rock, head west and walk across grate on far north
  56. side.
  57.  
  58. 23) Put rock in geyser, exit through door.
  59.  
  60. 24) Walk all the way north, then west in pool room.
  61.  
  62. 25) Block beam with glass.
  63.  
  64. 26) Dodge acid drops.
  65.  
  66. 27) Turn dial on gadget and walk all the way east.
  67.  
  68. 28) Watch the scene, then drop Orat part and walk through passage.
  69.  
  70. 29) Insert cartridge on console, read screen, get code number,
  71. take back cartridge.
  72.  
  73. 30) Get in skimmer, turn key.
  74.  
  75. 31) Dodge first few rocks, then stay on far left of screen to the
  76. end.
  77.  
  78. 32) Sell skimmer on second offer and acquire jetpack.
  79.  
  80. 33) Go in bar, buy and drink 3 beers, listen to bar room
  81. conversations, make note of sector.
  82.  
  83. 34) Play slot machine until you win 45 buckazoids.
  84.  
  85. 35) Do not follow man who sometimes appears outside of bar.
  86.  
  87. 36) Buy flight systems operation droid.
  88.  
  89. 37) Play slot machine until you have 214 buckazoids (use F8 to
  90. bet).  It's a bit random, so keep trying until you do it.
  91.  
  92. 38) One screen west of outside of bar meet Tiny and buy ship to
  93. the far north.
  94.  
  95. 39) Get in ship, push load button, answer sector to droids
  96. question.
  97.  
  98. 40) Outside of Deltaur put on jetpack and exit.
  99.  
  100. 41) Turn handle on door.
  101.  
  102. 42) Follow the maintance droid through the airlock to the empty
  103. room.
  104.  
  105. 43) Move trunk, open it and put your jet pack in it.  Close the 
  106. trunk and get on it.  Open the vent and get in it.
  107.  
  108. 44) Climb up the ladder and go to the next vent.  Kick vent, then 
  109. open it.  You will be looking into the laundry room.
  110.  
  111. 45)Go back to the empty room the same way.  Open the trunk and get 
  112. in it.  Get out after you are moved.
  113.  
  114. 46)You're now in the laundry room.  Get in the washer, get out
  115. after it stops.
  116.  
  117. 47) Exit laundry, stop and talk to first guard, keep talking until
  118. he asks you if you have King's Quest II, answer yes.
  119.  
  120. 48) Enter elevator on left, walk one screen west, enter elevator
  121. and go 3 screens east to weapons room.
  122.  
  123. 49) Take ID from pocket, show ID to droid (just before this put
  124. in slow mode), while droid is gone walk to south of counter and
  125. take grenade.
  126.  
  127. 50) Get pulseray from droid, go one screen west.
  128.  
  129. 51) Throw grenade directly on top of guard.
  130.  
  131. 52) Go back to weapons room, take and show ID - get second grenade
  132. (you can now exit slow mode).
  133.  
  134. 53) Shoot any guards that appear by holding down F6 as you enter a
  135. new screen.
  136.  
  137. 54) Go to Star Generator room and search body, take control and
  138. push off button.
  139.  
  140. 55) Examine panel and enter the code, then "enter".
  141.  
  142. 56) Exit, enter first elevator, exit and enter right elevator.
  143.  
  144. 57) Enter ship, "launch".
  145.  
  146. You should now have 204 points out of a possible 202.  How that is
  147. I do not know, I just did it.
